Nippon Steel Trading was founded as a trading company directly affiliated to Nippon Steel Corporation in 1977. With the generous support of our many clients, Nippon Steel Corporation, and companies belonging to the Nippon Steel Group, we have endeavored to steadily expand our scope of business and improve our earnings capacity and financial position. As a result, we were listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's First Section in April 1 2010.
As exemplified by our globalization campaign in recent years based on the expansion of overseas transactions especially in
Asia — in addition to the United States and Russia — we have been making all-out efforts
to further bolster our operational base.
We are seeking to attain further growth by engaging in fine-tuned operating activities, including technical services based on our commitment to “identifying and meeting clients’ needs without fail.”
Each and every one of us within the Nippon Steel Trading Group will make concerted efforts into the future, to contribute both to the steel industry and to society at large through steel-oriented business activities underpinned by the trust we have earned over the years.
Also in regards to environmental activities, we will continue to help create a recycling-oriented society by such means as expanding the lineup of products that help preserve the environment handled by Nippon Steel Corporation and companies affiliated with the Nippon Steel Group.
